Project

Redecorate my home

You walk past that wall every day. The colour, the sofa, the light: you know it doesn't feel like you anymore. But between the ideas, the budget and the weekends, you don't know which room to start with, or what to start with in it.

Everything is tempting, nothing starts

You picture the whole redecoration at once: every room, every piece of furniture, every colour. So you collect ideas and screenshots, and nothing moves.

Then there are the purchases that come too early: a sofa ordered before measuring, a paint colour chosen before seeing the room in the evening light.

The right order is simple: look at what you have, choose a style, finish one room. That first finished room becomes the model for all the others.

An example of the path

Here's what this project can look like once it's broken down. Yours starts from your answers, beginning with what you already have and what's holding you back. It will come out different, and that's on purpose.

  1. Milestone 1

    Take stock

    • Walk around your home and list every roomDone
    • Take 3 to 5 photos of each room to keep a record of how it looks now
    • Note what bothers you in each room, one thing at a time
    • Spot what you want to keep in each room
  2. Milestone 2

    Find your style

You define a clear style, with a colour palette and a few images that feel like you.

Coming up, broken down when you get there
  3. Milestone 3

    Plan the first room

You measure the first room, draw its layout and write the exact list of what to buy.

  4. Milestone 4

    Transform the first room

Walls, furniture and decor: the first room takes its new shape, from start to finish.

  5. Milestone 5

    Finishing touches

Lights, textiles, plants and small objects: your home feels finished and consistent.

Coming up, broken down when you get there

Your first step, tonight

Walk around your home and list every room

Half an hour, phone in hand. You don't buy anything, you look at what you already have.

How the path adapts to you

You say all of this in the opening questions, and you can change it later.

  • Already have a style in mind? Add it under "What you already have": the style milestone shrinks to confirming it.
  • Mostly working on it at weekends? With "A few times a week", due dates follow that pace.
  • Want it done before a date, guests, a new baby? Give it under "By when?": every step is dated to meet it.

Your project has waited long enough.
Name your goal. It starts here.

In a few minutes, you'll know exactly where to start. The first step takes less time than thinking about it again.
